We are very grateful to welcome Dr. Ulrike Schimpf, postdoctoral fellow from the Institute of Agricultural and Urban Ecology Projects at Humboldt-Universität(IASP), and Cristina Chircov, bachelor student from Politehnica University of Bucharest who joined the group last month.

Ulrike Schimpf will be continuing one of the mucus engineering project of the group. She aims to study how the complexation of small mucoadhesive polymers alter the movement of sperm through mucus. Cristina Chircov has already contributed greatly to a project around the condensation of mucin molecules. She will also assist Urlike Schimpft in her work.
